Where are the Nomad Games?
World Nomad Games, KYRGYZSTAN
The World Nomad Games showcases nomadic sports, culture and lifestyle and takes place every even numbered year. It's held in Cholpon-Ata, in the Issyk-Kul Province of Kyrgyzstan, usually in September, although Turkey has also been floated as a possible venue for the 2020 Games.
How many countries participate in World Nomad Games?
Around 2000 athletes from 82 countries competed in 37 sports branches. Upon the decision of the Heads of States taken at the Sixth Summit of the Turkic Council convened in Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyzstan on 11 September 2018, the Fourth World Nomad Games will be organized in Turkey in 2020.
